The leaders who led us in the freedom struggle and the drafting of our Constitution, like Mahatma Gandhi, Motilal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, TT Krishnamachari, Sarojini Naidu, etc., were all professionals.

In recent decades, leaders like Dr. Manmohan Singh, and many other professionals have contributed to strengthening rights-based politics, driving transformation and leading people's movements.

The Dr. Manmohan Singh Fellows program carries forward that legacy, creating a new generation of professional leaders committed to strengthening democracy and people's movements.
